Recycling Works in PA 
The Pennsylvania Soft Drink Association has been a strong supporter
of recycling and early supporter of the 1988 Municipal Waste Recycling
law that created the nation’s largest curbside recycling program
— Pennsylvania.PSDA has consistently supported the reauthorization of the $2 per ton state recycling fee each time it has came up for renewal to ensure local recycling programs have the financial support they need to operate. PSDA has also sponsored educational initiatives, like America Recycles Day, here in Pennsylvania as a special opportunity to educate the public about the benefits of recycling to the environment. Locally, PSDA members support recycling efforts in schools through local “Beverages in Our Schools” programs and other initiatives that help teach students the ethic of recycling at an early age.
